THE HOUSE OF DANTE IN ROME

The House of Dante in Rome was constituted as a moral entity in 1914 by the Royal Decree of July 16, 1914, n. 196 by King Vittorio Emanuele III and declared under the patronage of Queen Mother Margherita of Savoy, who placed the first signing of cultural activities in order to be the leading organ in Italy for the promulgation and support of the Divine Comedy. The institution still has its seat in the Anguillara palace, in Piazza Sonnino n.5.

At present the House of Dante in Rome organizes exhibitions, conferences, seminars, conferences, book exhibitions, the greatest Italian poet and all the sundays continue reading and explanation of the songs of the Comedy inviting to the eminent intellectual and university professor debates.
